Learning Objectives:

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

1. Understand and apply the latest amendments to the Residential Tenancies Act 1987 (WA) (and any relevant regulations) as of 2024-25, including key Commissioner determinations.

2. Identify major risk areas in residential property management (e.g., break-lease disputes, rent increases, pets/modifications, cybersecurity) and implement best-practice controls.

3. Navigate dispute resolution processes involving the Western Australian State Administrative Tribunal (WASAT) and other relevant bodies, and document management accordingly.

4. Demonstrate effective systems and procedures for privacy, trust account security, and cyber threat mitigation in the property management context.
